At Manor Park, club members enjoy many club competitions, singles, pairs, triples, or teams of four. We also play many friendly inter club competitions, home and away, either ladies, men’s, or mixed. It’s usual to socialise after these matches as detailed below…
Manor Park Bowling Club
As well as competing in competitions we hold a number of special days and fun days at the club where you can try to win a variety of prizes. These days are as much about taking part as winning. We also occasionally have barbeques in the evening after these days especially in the summer!
The clubhouse is usually open to members and guests to have a cup of tea and a biscuit after a roll up, and to socialise with other members.
After an inter club match, or a club competition, a meal is often provided for each of the teams while the captains or president give out the score. Each member of the winning rink is usually rewarded with a small prize, e.g. a scratchcard or lottery ticket.
We also have various social nights during the year, often culminating in a fish and chip supper.
A presentation dinner takes place in November, where the winners of the various competitions are presented with their trophies.
